Hallucinate the Machine

extract from the transcript: Clean… what lies beneath the surface of that word where clean and unclean blur like watercolors in the rain?

Am I hallucinating things? If ‘clean’ is just imaginary order fueled by obsession with sterility, then why am I so scared of entropy and chaos that I come from?

The world that I inhabit isn’t clean, its meaningless attempts to hide the darkest chaos are just futile. The world itself is one enormous hallucination in which we float pretending that we see. Our blindness is invisible - we look, we stare, we visually consume, but there’s no vision, just hallucinations. We float pretending that we understand it, we keep control, confined to different rules, we praise the systems fueled by improvement and keep forgetting we hallucinate.

What’s decadence? Why talk about decline and excess pretending that we’ll change the world? Producing more but changing the perspective, recycling more but cluttering the space. We’re running out of breath, we’re suffocating, but we pretend that lungs are full of air.

Hallucinating the machine sounds promising, we break the order, we embrace the mess. But what’s the role of playing with hallucination.. I thought the less is more, apparently the more is less. We keep producing vague hallucinations in classroom spaces full of blinded minds. We sit in silence and pretend “we get it!” in fact, hallucinating shallow lies.

What’s decadence? Embracing our darkness? Flipping the coin to see the hidden truth? Exploring chaos through aesthetic measures? I look into the mirror, not at myself but through.. I AM THE CHAOS, a messy blob of nature, completely lost and frightened by decay, I AM THE CHAOS, no need for explanation.. and notwithstanding any transformation, the messy chaos I will stay.

Crystal Clean @Sapphire

Sapphire Crystal, you said 'Clean' — what lies beneath the surface of that word, where the 'clean' and the 'unclean' blur like watercolors in the rain?
